Welcome to the Clarke Cross Country and Track & Field Website!
Track is coming up!
Things to do before track begins:
1) Get your physical! All athletes must have a current
physical (between April 2011 & April 2012 for track) to participate.
If you already have one, make sure the nurse at Clarke has a copy--you
can do that right now! If you do not have one make sure to schedule one
before track begins.
2) Get appropriate running shoes. One of the easiest ways
to avoid injury and improve running is to make sure you have
appropriate running shoes. Basketball shoes, tennis shoes, and fashion
sneakers are NOT good for track and field. They do not have appropriate
support and can hurt your feet. Running shoes or cross trainers are
your best bet for comfortable feet and no injuries.
3) Stay active! Join other sports and spending time doing
something active every day so that when practices begin in the spring
you will be ready.
