Welcome to my teacher web site. I hope you will find this informative and fun. I will be working on posting recordings and videos, as well as photos of student projects, so you can see what we do all day around here!

Middle-C's is an extra-curicular school ensemble which is an auditioned group. We meet on Thursday mornings from 7:00-7:50, and occasionally another afternoon/morning, depending on need. All rehearsals are mandatory unless pre-approved. Students prepare a piece which they feel shows off their voice, as well as a piece selected by me. I also check out rhythmic skills and sight-singing skills. Don't let this worry you, though. Weaknesses are worked on throughout the year.
JCGC:
Jonas Clarke Girl's Choir-A full year course which meets twice/week
during the day. It fulfills the requirements for 8th grade music, as
well as fulfilling the need to be part a fun filled, energetic, SAFE,
group of close friends. We sing for extra-curricular events, and
typically create a recording each year at a recording studio.
Clarke
Gents: This group is for "boys only," and is typically mentored by high
school guys. You will work with music arrangement on pieces of your own
choice. Clarke Gents is an a'cappella group. If interested, see Mrs.
Hughes. Open to 7th/8th grade guys.

Rehearsals: Wed & Fri, March 14 & 16....bus leaves school around 1:45 returns in the eveningRehearsal and concert Sat, March 17 early morning to mid afternoon.
FEBRUARY 11th we are singing with the Master Singers. Please reserve the date. It is only a 45 min concert with a pre-concert rehearsal. Call time is 1:30. Please meet in room 113 (music room) to prepare for a 3:00 concert.
PLEASE BE REMINDED OF THE DRESS CODE. BLACK SKIRT (GIRLS) OR SLACKS ON BOTTOM, (EITHER BOY OR GIRL). WHITE BLOUSE (GIRLS) OR BUTTON DOWN SHIRT(BOYS). BOYS MUST WEAR A DARK TIE. DRESS SHOES FOR BOTH, DARK SOCKS FOR BOYS. PLEASE DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD IN SWEATS, JEANS, SNEAKERS, OR CASUAL WEAR.
