Mrs. Shew's First Grade

due on Friday unless otherwise specified.  Children should be reading for at least fifteen minutes a night.  Please leave a note on the homework if it is too challenging.  Please remember that homework is meant to be a communication between the teacher and the families.  It is also meant to be a review. 

There are optional activities on the cover page.  I have told the children that you and them would decide together if they were in fact optional.  As we get further into the year they will have to choose a few of them to complete each week.
