e-Tutoring online available to Massasoit students

Please note that all currently enrolled students have been added to the e-Tutoring.org website (www.etutoring.org) and are eligible for free online tutoring in addition to the free tutoring resources that are offered by the Academic Resource Center (ARC) at the College.

Tutoring is available in Writing across all subjects, Math at all levels including Calculus and Statistics, Accounting, and the sciences including Anatomy & Physiology, Biology, and Chemistry.

e-Tutoring.org is offered by the ARC and Office of e-Learning and Non Traditional Programs in collaboration with Mass Colleges Online and the CT Distance Learning Consortium.  Currently, there are 36 schools participating in the consortium (see attached list of schools).  All full time and part time students have access to the following resources via e-Tutoring.org:

  • Online Writing Lab where students can submit a draft of a paper to a tutor, ask for specific feedback, and receive work back with a tutor's response within 24-48 hours.
Note: eTutors will not edit, correct, or rewrite your paper, but will help students improve their work and writing skills.
  • Live Tutoring where students can meet with a tutor in one-on-one tutoring sessions via a fully interactive, virtual online environment.
  • Offline Questions where students can leave a specific question for an eTutor who will respond within 48 hours.

Tutoring is provided by professional tutors at participating institutions and our use of the e-Tutoring program is offered as an extension of our excellent face to face tutoring offered by the ARC.  If you would like to request guest access to review the e-Tutoring.org resources before recommending the services to our students, please contact Nancy Sullivan or me and we will be happy to provide you with guest access.

MCC students are able to utilize this free service, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Tutoring is available in Writing across all subjects, Math at all levels including Calculus and Statistics, Accounting, all science including Anatomy & Physiology, Biology, and Chemistry.
