About Mrs. Billings

This September begins my ninth year of teaching in Marblehead. Prior to
teaching 8th grade, I taught 7th grade English and Social Studies for one
year, 8th grade English for two years, and sixth grade Language Arts and
Social Studies for four years. I am excited about returning to the 8th grade!

In addition to teaching, I am the mother of three boys, Graham, Sawyer, and
Henry. Graham is in 12th grade, Sawyer 10th, and Henry 7th.

I graduated from Bowdoin College in 1986 with a degree in English Literature
and Romance Languages. In May 2009, I completed my Masters of Education at
Salem State College. I loved being in graduate school and frequently
incorporate techniques in my classroom that I learned in class.

When I'm not in school, you might find me at a baseball field, swimming pool,
or basketball court watching one of my boys. I might also be walking with my
husband, Ray, and our standard poodle, Nemo.

If you ever catch a spelling error on my website or in any of the materials
I send home, please let me know. As an English teacher I have extremely high
standards for written language and pride myself on being a good proofreader,
but everyone is human!
