I'm very happy about sharing my love of literature with your child/children
in my role as School Library Media Specialist. I've been the librarian at
the Finn School since 1994 and an avid reader since first grade (I won't
mention the year!). In 2004 I helped open the Woodward School Library
and now split my time between Finn and Woodward. I'm at Finn
Monday-Wednesday, plus Thursday afternoon and at Woodward
Thursday morning and all day Friday. My hope is that your child will
become a bookworm, if they aren't already, and enjoy visiting the library
and checking out books. I try to have many good stories on display and
am always glad to help students find a particular favorite or a "just right"
book for reading on their own. I hope you'll contact me with any
questions or concerns you might have.
My objectives are to encourage a love of reading, life-long learning, and
respect each student as an individual. I teach listening skills,
speaking skills, and help students learn to use the library independently
(at a developmentally appropriate level). My main objective is for
students to love their "library time."
