printmaking 4th grade

Students created pencil lines on
a surface of foam board. The
board was then inked using block
printing ink with a brayer.
Multiple images were made by
reapplying ink and printing in
another area of the paper.
Students embellished their work
using tempera cakes.

shadow shape light 5th grade

Students imagined what a shape
would look like if light was
projected on the form, thus
causing a shadow to appear as
well. Cray-pas were used for
color information.

wallpaper idea 5th grade

Students expanded a small
wallpaper swatch including line,
color and shape. Tempera cakes
were used for color.

art show.

skeleton drawing 5th grade

Students worked with line and
drew from a life size 3-D
skeleton.

radial design 4th grade

Students practiced cutting tissue
paper that was folded three times.
It was arranged on paper and
starch applied to surface to hold
in place.

mask making 5th grade

Students made a preliminary
drawing and then constructed
using a filled paper bag along
with paper mache.

shadow, shape, and light 5th grade

Students imagined light on a
shape. The light highlighted,
intensified color, in the area.
Behind the shape or under the
shape, shadow evolved. They used
cray pas to color.
