Classroom News
Activities we work on daily are:
Calendar - month, day of the week, sequencing the days, counting by ones
Weather - daily weather "forecast" and reading the sentence, graphing the
weather and reading the graph using the words: most,least,
equal, first, second, last etc.
# count of days in school - counting by ones
ABC's - upper and lowercase recognition and sounds
Language Arts Activities:
•reading large and small books together and pointing to words, left to right
•rhyming puzzles and rhyming stamp book
.counting syllables in words
•ABC order with magnetic letters
•handwriting H and h, and reviewing A and a
•illustrating the "H House" poem for our notebook
•"My Hh Words" for our notebook
•"H is for ..." class book, think of a word and illustrate the page
.listening to sentences and counting the words in the sentence
.Write around the room ....finding Hh's
.pocket chart activity ...put the sentences in order to our house poem/book
