We have been learning about Miss L, she has the "longest laugh". Our science unit on Light coincides with our letter! We did some experiments in our class using a flashlight and a mirror and saw how the light bounced off the mirror (reflection). We also used a flashlight and a prism to see a spectrum (white light broken down into the colors of the rainbow) Ask your child if s/he remembers the "name" to help remember the order of the colors in a rainbow. We also learned a new color "indigo", do you know what colors make indigo??
We have been continuing to learn our number poems to help us form numbers. We have learned the numbers 0-5. See if your child can print these numbers saying our number poems! We are also working on one to one correspondence in our number books.
We will be printing upper/lowercase Ll, we have some new pencil grips on our pencils at the writing table. (I'm hoping this will encourage the "tripod" grasp that is so tricky for so many!
