We have been learning about Miss T and her tall teeth. We made toads, turtles, and telephones. There were many children who didn't know their telephone numbers, that would be a good thing to practice. We worked on "write around the room" looking for T words and printing them on a paper on a clipboard.

We have been still been working on rhyming words and now have started counting the syllables in words. ( I explain it as how many parts a word has) We will say a word and clap out its parts. Sometimes if a word has many parts we will tap it out on the table with our fingers. We now have 4 words on our word wall, they are "at"," a", "is", &" the". These words have shown up a lot in our poem books, see if your child can find some of them!

We started our "counting books". The children will learn a number poem to help them print the number and then count out the right number of shapes and then use the shapes to make a picture. We played a game called "grab and count", where the children needed to record how many cubes they grabbed. We will also be playing a game called "roll and record" where they have to roll a die, count the dots and trace the right number.

In honor of Miss T, we will have T-shirt day on Thursday, November 12th. Wear your favorite t-shirt!!

We start "special person" next week. Every Friday a new name will be drawn from the basket to be our person of the week. The child will receive a "Me Magazine" to fill out over the weekend and will then share it with the class on Monday! This week Samantha and Linnea were chosen!!

Thanks to those who volunteered to make playdough for our class. You should have received the recipe, whenever you can send it in is great!

WE STILL NEED A VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR FOR THE PM CLASS! IF YOU ARE INTERESTED PLEASE EMAIL ME OR JOT ME A NOTE. MANY THANKS

Please return the white conference paper that went home. It is confirming the conference date that you signed up for on Parent Information Night.
