Mr. Miner teaches German 7 and German 8 at Melrose Veterans Memorial Middle
School. In the 6th grade he teaches German Exploratory. He speaks German
and Dutch. Mr. Miner has spent more than half his life studying, learning
and perfecting his German. He has a keen interest in international
business, politics,sports, and most things German and Swiss. Some of his
favorite things to do outside of school are: Soccer, Chess, Travel, Beach,
Study ( yes study! ) and meeting people from other countries. Mr. Miner went
to Melrose Middle School and has a deep appreciation for learning languages
at this level. If you have a question about Germany, Switzerland, or

Our classes will learn both language and culture during the school
year. We will explore not only German as a language but Germany,
Austria, and Switzerland as countries. Our mission is to broaden our
horizons by studying other cultures and learning another language.
We will study how people live, speak, and play in many lands far from
Melrose. We will learn how countries and people far away from us have a
daily impact on our lives in Melrose. Classes will learn how to use maps and
the news to study places of importance. We will discuss how things differ
in other countries compared to life in Melrose. We will read stories and
view videos to enlighten us to other ways of life around the world. We live
on a small planet that is getting smaller everyday! Soon it will be time to
meet many of our neighbors! Come along with us!
