| Student grades will be based on the following:
10% - Homework Completion
Students will receive either full, half, or no credit for the completion and
quality of homework.
10% - Graded homework
At least one homework assignment per week will be collected and graded for
accuracy.
15% - Participation
Participation is extremely important in learning a new language! There will
be frequent opportunities for students to participate in class. I expect
students to speak Spanish as much as possible!
20% - Quizzes
Quizzes will be given frequently (on average - once a week). These quizzes
will typically cover new vocabulary. However, quizzes will not be limited to
vocabulary. They may take a variety of forms and will cover all types of new
learning.
45% - Tests and Projects
Tests and projects are important assessment tools that will allow students
the opportunity to demonstrate what they have learned. These, too, will take
a variety of forms and will cover all types of student learning.
