CY Vocab. Quizzes

This year, 2008-2009, we will not be doing the Caught 'Ya activities as a
class. You may do these vocabulary building games for fun!

Caught 'Ya: Grammar with a Giggle is a wonderful daily excercise completed
in class. Each day students are given a sentence or two, and they are
required to edit the writing by adding capital letters, commas, quotation
marks, end punctuation, etc. Each day a new vocabulary word is introduced to
the students, and it is written in their vocabulary books. Once the students
have collected twenty new words, a quiz is given. Prior to the quiz,
students are given the list of words and make a divided page on which each
word and definition are written so that the students can study from one piece
of paper. Below you can find the lists of words for each quiz as well as a
link to a site on which students can play games to study their words. Please
note that these sites were created by students for students, so you may see
an occasional spelling error or two. Enjoy!
