About The Teacher

Mrs. Knight graduated with a B.A. in English from Union College in
Schenectady, New York, in 1985. She earned a Master of Education degree
from the State University of New York in Albany in 1987. She taught seventh
and eighth grade Language Arts in Hingham, Massachusetts, and she also
taught seventh and eighth grade English, as well as some senior electives at
Worcester Academy from 1992 to 1995. As a parent volunteer she led the
yearbook at Mountview during the 2003-2004 year, and she's also helped in
many K-5 classrooms as well as at other Davis Hill activities. She has three
children; one here in the sixth grade, one here in eighth grade, and one
beginning college at the University of Denver! Mrs. Knight loves sailing,
art, sports and great stories! You may see her on the soccer fields,
basketball courts, or at the hockey rinks from time to time!

Mission For The Class

My goals for our sixth graders include helping them become better thinkers,
readers, writers, editors, and listeners. I want them to develop a sense of
pride in their work, reach their potential as writers, participate in
thoughtful class discussions, create meaningful poetry, and become lifelong
readers and learners.
