I am a serious Red Sox fan, but I also like to read and travel, among
other things, lots of travel! Not only have I been on four continents
(approx. 18 countries), but I lived in the Republic of Singapore for over two
years and have friends all over the world. My most recent trip was during the
summer of 2007 to Norway with a return visit to my favorite city, Munich,
Germany on my way home. I have flags on my desk to represent each country
where I have visited or lived. Check out the flags when you come to class!
I have also raised 2 wonderful sons. Ryan, my older son, who graduated from
Vermont College, lives in Arlington, VA with his wife, Farleigh. She just
received her Master's degree in Environmental Law and Policy from Vermont Law
School.
Kyle, my younger son, who served 5 years with the U.S. Navy, graduated from
the University of Massachusetts/Boston. He also recently got married to Megan
and they live in Somerville. He works at the state house while working on a
master's degree in public policy.
Meanwhile, Pepita, my dog, and I just continue our busy lives.
Pepita is now a 12 year old Min-Pin (or according to some books, a German
Terrier). We live in my new home in Northborough, MA. (Check out her photo

To have fun while we learn. I take my teaching seriously and expect my
students to take the subject seriously. But since I believe learning should be
fun, expect to see smiles in my class.
