Homework Grading

Homework counts as a total of 30% of student grades: 20% completion and

10 % accuracy.

Completion (20%): each assignment earns a completion grade.

* Complete and ON TIME – 100

* Complete but LATE – 80  Partially complete – 65 (can be completed to earn up to an 80)

* None – a No Excuse pink slip (NE) - 0 (can be completed to earn up to an 80)

* Late homework with a valid excuse such as an absence, illness or crisis situation completed in a timely manner will be graded as ON TIME

Accuracy (10%): Roughly once a week a homework assignment will also be graded for accuracy. Students will earn a grade based on the number of correct responses. If the assignment is one we review in class, credit will be given for corrections made in class.

* No Credit without written work shown.

* Partial credit will be given for incorrect answers IF students show their work.

* Students will be expected to keep their homework in their math binders because on Fridays we will randomly select which day’s assignment will earn an accuracy grade.

* Neatness and organization is important – If I can’t read or find the work and/or answer I can’t give credit.

* Homework should always be in pencil!!!
