PINK SLIP POLICY

NO  HOMEWORK   PINK   SLIPS

Pink slips are a means of communicating homework completion records.

I break each quarter in to two halves (up to progress reports and from progress reports to the end of the quarter). The number of “No Homeworks” (NHs) resets to ZERO at the beginning of each half.

• IF a student doesn’t have his/her homework for any reason, other than absence) he/she must fill out a “HOMEWORK PINK SLIP.”

• Students fill in name, date, assignment and the REASON they don’t have the homework.

• I expect a SINCERE reason, but will appreciate your honesty – sometimes things happen and sometimes you honestly forget.

• “I lost it,” “I forgot,” “I didn’t feel like it…” count as NO EXCUSE (NE) Excuses that I deem as valid will be accepted without penalty.

PINK   SLIPS   ARE   HANDLED   AS   FOLLOWS:

• 1 No Excuse (NE) – OK, things happen – first pink slip, end of story.

• 2 NEs you will need to get your “Pink Slip” signed by parent or guardian.

• 3 NEs you will get a detention - and will for EACH additional NE (That is, until the point in the quarter where pink slips reset to zero. Excessive missed homework can lead to an ammended policy on an individualized basis.)
