Wish List

We are asking that families curb their generosity of gift giving. The generous spirit is very much appreciated; however, there are many children who are not in a position to give. These children end up feeling left out and diminished because they are not able to give and yet have to watch others do so. If the spirit of giving is pressing you, it would be of greater benefit if families could contribute to materials we use in the classroom. Below I have created a wish list to help guide donations.  Please realize that hand-me-downs are great!  If you have any of the book titles we are collecting or Legos and your family is finished with me; then we would be happy to receive them.  I thank you in advance for helping to preserve the tender feelings of our children. The greatest gift is the time I have with your children and your support at home.

For our classroom:
  • The Popcorn Book by Tomi dePaola (we need about 4 more copies)
  • Mike Fink by Steven Kellogg (looking to collect multiple copies)
  • clothespin dolls with stands
  • scrap paper to use for drawing (students welcome wasted copies from copiers & printers)
  • saltines for those without snacks
  • pencils
  • erasers
  • Legos (we are trying to begin collecting them; hand-me-downs are welcomed)
  • plastic spoons
  • ziplock freezer bags; gallon size and quart
  • biography of a person from the Colonial Period (1600 and 1700s), children's reading level
