This is my 19th year teaching, 17th in 3rd grade. I absolutely
love this grade. This age group is enthusiastic and imaginative, often
loving big challenges, but benefit from help with work skills and patience
to complete their plans. I love to read and love to see children connected
with literature. I also love math and thrive on seeing children piece
together what they know about numbers with problem-solving.
I have a husband and two children. A daughter, Ali
who is 17 and a son Eammon who is 14. We also have a chocolate lab named
Gretzky and a cat named Crosby.
Our mission is to become life-long learners. We hope to develop an
understanding that real learning does not happen quickly or easily. It
comes from practice and lots of trial and error. Mistakes can be a good
thing, they give us a place to work from and grow. We will not give up,
because with continued effort we will accomplish all that we set out to do.
