Welcome to School Year 2009-2010.
I grew up in Charlestown (Boston), Massachusetts. After high school I lived
in Vermont for 6 years where I attended college and worked prior to my start
at MVRCS. I have a degree in Psychology with a concentration in French from
Norwich University.
This will be my second year at MVRCS. Last year I taught Spanish primarily
to 4th and 5th grade. This year I will teach Spanish to 5th and 6th grade.
I am married and have a 2 year old son.
This year as always we are going to work very hard in class. You will have
weekly homework assignments as well as occasional quizzes and test.
You are required to maintain a neat and well organized notebook which will
consist of a 3 ring binder with 3-4 sections of lined paper. I will explain
about the binders in class. You are also required to have a Spanish-English
dictionary, a folder, pen, and pencil. These items are REQUIRED everyday in
Spanish Class.
We are going to be learning about many areas of the Spanish language like
vocabulary, phrases, and most of all grammar. You will be reading short
stories in Spanish and disccusing it in class. We will also do many fun
group and individual projects throughout the year.
