Homework in first grade will be a math homelink Monday-Thursday. This paper
will have information for you and a page of homework for your child to fill
out. They will need you to read them the directions and help get started.
These are review papers, and your child should do well with them. These math
homelink papers are due the next day.
You will also recieve Fundations packets once every two weeks. These
activities are for your child to do at home, at your leisure and are not due
back to school.
A reading log will be coming home every Monday as part of our weekly homework
routine. Minimum requirements: 10-15 minutes of at home reading a day, 5
days a week or 60 minutes per week. At home reading includes reading with
another person, being read to, and reading alone. If you have an extra busy
day now and then, and cannot fit your reading time into your schedule, it's
okay to read for a longer time on another day...as long as the minutes add up.
