I am currently an Elementary Art Teacher at the Proctor and Zeh Schools in
Northborough. I have been teaching in Northborough for 20 years and also in
the towns of Barre and Hubbardston.I love working with children creatively
and look forward to seeing all the awesome and wonderful ideas and projects
that they come up with! My own art interests are watercolor
painting,drawing, and photography.I live way up on top of a hill surrounded
by forest where I enjoy the company of my husband, my teenage son,2 comical
cats and lots of wild life( mainly turkeys and deer!)
Students in Kindergarten-Grade5 participate in weekly art classes in which
they explore a variety of art media and experiences including
drawing,painting,sculpture and many interdisciplinary units. Projects are
designed to encourage creative thinking and self-esteem, and to increase
skills,problem-solving,awareness,and aesthetics. Exposure to art styles and
the works of various artists provide a focus on the various parts of art and
art as a means of expressing ideas,feelings and beliefs. The art room
atmosphere fosters making connections, personal growth and enjoyment, and a
respect for student's own creativity and that of others.
