Please bring in your book no later than Wednesday, 12/21. We will be exchanging books on Friday, 12/23. The book should be wrapped and have the giver's name clearly on the top. Thank you for supporting our celebration of reading!
Shoebox Colony Criteria
You will be creating a scene from the colonial region that you’ve been assigned. Below is a list of criteria that you will need to include in your model. Be sure to review the list to help you plan your shoebox colony.
You may use any materials that are available to you, but everything must fit inside the shoebox. If you have a flap that opens, you may use that piece as extra space. You can be creative and use small figurines, Lego pieces, clay, etc.
Your shoebox colony is due on: Thursday, 12/22
ü Your model must clearly display the colonial region’s geography and climate.
ü Somewhere in your model, it should be clear what types of natural resources were found in your region, or what types of resources/jobs helped with their economy.
ü You may also include any details that show the specific characteristics of your colonial region.
ü Include an index card, with a complete and detailed paragraph explaining the geography, climate, natural resources, and jobs of your region.
