I am the white-haired teacher who:
* has the wisdom of years
* the expertise of current educational practices
* the wonder of an inquisitive mind
* the imagination of a dreamer, and
* the curiosity, spontaneity, and joy of a child.
I am honored to teach first-grade. Each child is special and filled with
untapped potential. I love working with them. My most earnest desire is to
create in these children a life-long love of learning.
The mission for this class is to learn and grow in mind, body, and spirit.
We work together to be a community within a community. Each child is
challenged to be the best he or she can be.
We treat each other with kindness and respect. We help each other learn. We
appreciate each other's unique talents.
We know that it's okay to make mistakes -- we are only human beings -- and
we
learn from our mistakes.
We will try to learn with joyful, happy, and open minds.
