Hi everyone,

Believe it or not we are now in the home stretch! This week is Senior Week! A week full of activities to celebrate the successes of the Class of 2012!
Tuesday, May 29, 2012 Senior Recognition
Wednesday, May 30, 2012 Senior Banquet
Thursday, May 31, 2012 Spring Athletic Awards
Friday, June 1, 2012 Graduation

From this week we move to celebrate the end of the year with a variety of trips.
Grade 6 May 30th Stone Zoo
Grade 7 May 31st & June 1st GORP
June 5th & 6th Gloucester Heritage Center
Grade 8 June 5th & 6th New York City
June 7th Millbrook Pond

We will be hosting our annual Underclass Awards ceremony on June 4, 2012 at 1:00pm in the auditorium. A high school curriculum leader will notify parents if their child is receiving an award.

Of course, final exams will be held in the high school from June 7th through 12th here at the high school. This year unlike years past we will be having three exams on some days and two exams on other days. This means students may be leaving as early as 11:30 or 1:30 depending on their exam schedule. Reminder that students need only attend their exams and are encouraged to prepare for exams on campus but are not required to do so.
Thursday, June 7th A, E, and G Exams from 8:00 until 1:30
Friday, June 8th C, and H Exams from 8:00 until 11:30
Monday, June 11th B, D, and F Exams from 8:00 until 1:30
Tuesday, June 12th Make Up Exams Exams by appointment only

Our 8th Grade Recognition Night will be held on the evening of June 11th in the auditorium. On June 12th the middle school will host our final event of the school year, Spirit Day. Students should come dressed for outdoor activities.

So, as I said it is a busy time for all of us. I hope that we see you at an event or two. When it is all said and done, this is a most wonderful time of the year.

See you soon,

Philip Conrad

TARDINESS

School begins @ 7:35AM each day and ends @ 2:10PM. Students are allowed three unexcused tardies per quarter. These are for such things as alarm clocks that didn't go off, car keys that can't be located, cars that won't start, etc. Tardiness is excused only in the case of illness, medical appointments, or family emergencies. After the third unexcused tardy, detention will be assigned. Please make every effort to assure your student arrives to school on time.

Absences & Tardiness

Parents are reminded that local and state laws require a note when a student is absent from school. Students should return to school with a note stating the date and reason for the absence and signed by a parent/guardian. The same is true when a student comes to school late. Parents who call the school in the morning to report an absence do NOT need to follow-up with a note. THANKS!
