Message from the Superintendent

Welcome to the Rockport Public Schools website. We are extremely proud of the Rockport Public School District, a small pre-kindergarten through grade 12 district of approximately 1,000 students and 180 staff. The school district provides a comprehensive, innovative program, and caring educational environment for our students. Tremendous support is offered by community organizations, including the Parent Teacher Organization (PTO), The Educational Foundation for Rockport, the Friends of Rockport Athletics, the Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SPED PAC), the Raising Rockport Readers, and the Rockport Rotary Club. The Rockport Police, Fire, and Library Departments, as well as town officials, continue to contribute to the excellence of the school district.

We hope this website will serve as an important means to communicate with our parents, students, staff, the community, and visitors. The Rockport Public Schools’ website offers information in a variety of areas in an easy to navigate format. Each of the schools, as well as the Special Education department, has its own link to provide parents and students with specific information about the school or department.

There is a special link to Rockport Public School Resources that should help staff, parents, and students with their everyday activities. The Events Calendar allows everyone to view the activities and the locations that have been booked through the District Office. If you are planning an event, this feature allows you to see when and where other events have been planned. A link to the School Committee lists the School Committee members, agendas, and minutes of meetings, as well as other reports and documents. There are also links to The Educational Foundation for Rockport, the PTO, and the Friends of Rockport Athletics. Job openings can be found on a separate link on the homepage. There are many other links and valuable information about our school system available to all.

We encourage you to explore the various links and get to know more about the Rockport Public Schools. Please feel free to contact us with ideas and suggestions to further improve our website.
