Since you already had me for one year, we already know a lot about each other!
I am thrilled to be with all of you again this year!
I really love teaching fifth grade! Social Studies is my favorite subject to
teach, and we will do a lot of really exciting activities. I love to try new
teaching strategies, and I am always trying to become a better teacher. One
of my goals is to get you to be THINKERS. In order to do this, I will ask you
to imagine, question, and wonder. You will use what you learn to make
decisions and form opinions. It is not always easy, and you will be
challenged to TRY even when you feel you want to give up! You know I LOVE
guesses...it shows me you are thinking and willing to be wrong! Remember, you
don't grow as a learner or person unless you make mistakes, think about what
went wrong, and figure out how to fix them! I am here to guide you, but most
of the work is up to you! I know we are up for another fantastic year together!

Kids: Maddie (8th grade) and Brad (6th grade)
Dog: My lovable Rottie, Theodore! (see his picture below)
Hobbies/Interests: Reading, gardening, walking, cooking, any activity with my
family, kayaking!
Our mission is to learn and play in a cooperative, caring and engaging
environment. Making mistakes is part of the process of learning, and
students will recognize, accept and appreciate the strengths and struggles
of each class member. Students will be challenged to work hard, make
appropriate social and academic choices, and live our Christian values.
