Kindergarten Conferences take place in May. Transitional, First & Second
Grade conferences take place in March.
LEA INFORMATION
The teachers of Littleton have not yet been able to settle a contract with the
School Committee, despite several reasonable proposals. Our withdrawal of
voluntary services began in January, with the hopes of drawing attention to
this ongoing problem. While we have succeeded in informing the people of
Littleton about our lack of a current contract, there are many who believe we
have gone about doing so the wrong way.
As a result, the teachers of Littleton have chosen to return to “business as
usual”. This means that teachers will resume normal use of their websites,
communicating with parents as they always have, and entering their respective
school buildings normally.
Our fear, though, is that a return to “normal” is taken by the citizens of
Littleton to mean that all is well in our schools. It is not. We have been
negotiating for fair and equitable contracts for almost four straight years,
including summers, taking only a short break when a two-year contract was
settled in April of 2010. In addition, the schools are significantly under-
funded, an issue that must be addressed quickly before the quality of
education in Littleton suffers.
We hope that the citizens of Littleton, especially the parents of our
students, see our return to more regular practices as a sign that we have
listened to their concerns, and want to work with them towards a positive
resolution. We look forward to meeting with parents, both formally and
informally, to discuss our situation and the many ways we can work together to
improve the education of the young people of Littleton.
CORI
You have to bring a photo ID to the school office and fill out the paperwork
in order to obtain a CORI. You must have a completed CORI before
volunteering in the classroom.
AFTERNOON SPECIALS SCHEDULE:
Monday - Library - Children will learn the school procedure for checking out
books.
Tuesday - Gym - Children should wear sneakers and appropriate clothing for
outdoor gym time.
Thursday - Art
Friday - Music
