This is my eleventh year as a Kindergarten Teacher at Shaker Lane School--
My "Dream Job". I have been involved in Early Childhood Education
since my two sons, Brendan and Kelan, were born. As a parent, I was on the
Board of Directors at their cooperative nursery schools in LeCannet, France
and Chelmsford, MA. I attended courses and became a Nursery School Teacher
at The Barn Cooperative Nursery School in Concord, MA where I taught for six
years. At the Barn, I was a co-teacher for a mixed age group of 3-5 year old
children; I taught the After Kindergarten class; and was acting Co-Director
for two years. I left the Barn to attend Rivier College, where I earned my
Bachelor Degree in Human Development/Early Childhood Education/Special
Education. I have a Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education from
Fitchburg State College.
To provide a caring, safe, learning environment that:
