About The Teacher
Sue Webster graduated from Bridgewater State College with a B.S. degree in Elementary Education. After graduation, she taught in the Easton Public Schools in the Resource Room and also in a private nursery school. Once becoming a mom, Sue stayed at home to raise her two children. Upon deciding to return to education she worked part time in Kindergarten then worked several years as a substitute teacher in the Stoughton Public School system. She started back teaching grade one at the South then one year at the Jones in grade one. In 2000, when the program became a full-day program,Sue returned to the South School in the Kindergarten position and is very happy to be there! Her hobbies are going to the beach, reading, shopping, and watching HG Decorating.

Mission
The kindergarten experience encompasses each child's intellectual, emotional and physical growth. Children learn their best through direct, immediate involvement with their environment. They learn through hands-on exploration and interaction with the physical world. Our classroom provides a secure, non-judgemental environment where children may explore, experiment, discover, create, and learn. Children are encouraged to interact with each other, their teachers, and a wide range of educational materials. They will be involved in a multisensory approach to learning and are encouraged to talk, touch, manipulate and inspect materials, as well as to follow directions and classroom procedures.Through such interactions, the children are encouraged to apply their abilities in a variety of ways and settings-this fosters an understanding of the interrelated nature of learning and stimulates creative and crtical thinking skills. My purpose as a kindergarten teacher is to make each of the children believe that they CAN,have a positive image of themselves and to instill in each of them a love of learning and an eagerness to explore new things, and most important of all~to enjoy being in kindergarten and to find one thing to smile about each of their days in my classroom.
