September is off to a great start! Students have transitioned well to the routines and procedures, and
everyone is working hard. I am very impressed by the enthusiasm I see each day!
Please remember to help your child to form good habits at home by checking their Agenda Mate each
afternoon before beginning their homework. Encourage them to read instructions carefully and to check
their work as they finish. The development of solid work habits is key to a child's success.
Students should be reading for twenty minutes each night as well as practicing their basic addition and
subtraction facts. Encourage children NOT to use their fingers!!! In class, we will talk about the
importance of using good math strategies to compute accurately, rather than using their hands.
Any donations of Kleenex, hand sanitizer, and Clorox wipes are always welcomed. During cold and flu
season, we tend to go through Kleenex especially fast.
Thank you to everyone for attending our Open House on September 12th. It was such a pleasure to
meet everyone!
