February... Groundhog's Day... Valentine's Day... February Vacation... And Everyday is
Learning Day in Third Grade
It's been a snowless winter but we've managed to keep busy! Here's a quick look of what
we've been doing in the curriculum.
Reading- Fluency, Nonfiction texts, Trickster Tales, and now Poetry have been our
focus in Reading.
Math- Multiplication facts through 12 have been reviewed and tested. However,
there will be "pop" quizzes on the facts during the year. Keep studying! Geometry,
perimeter, area, and measurement are our current study focuses.
Writing- How-to Writing, Writing Non-fiction Book Reports, and Poetry have kept us busy!
Science- Our study of weather is finished this month. On to animal classification!
Social Studies- Wampanoags were our focus and we're starting the Pilgrims.
