Homework

 Homework is almost always due the next day.  It will be checked for completion during our daily Start Up time (8:40 - 8:50).

Students are responsible for correctly recording assignments in their agendas, and for bringing home the papers & materials needed to complete it.  (During the first term, adults in the classroom will monitor the recording of assignments and packing needed materials.  This support will be gradually decreased as students work toward the goal of developing independence.) 
 
Parents should sign the agenda each night.
 
Always:
   *   Read for 20 min. and practice fluency passage
                (Record on reading log)

   *  Spelling activity (Record on spelling log)
             

   *  Check agenda for other daily assignments

Spelling City:  The easiest way to get to the Spelling City site with the correct Spofford Pond grade level spelling lists is to go through the link on this website.  Once you get to the site, scroll down to find the grade level and week, example gr3 5.
