The 2011/2012 school year will be my tenth year teaching third grade at
Spofford. I love third grade because the students are full of excitement
about their new school and learning in general. It is also the year in which
students generally transition from learning to read to reading to learn. I
find this process fascinating to observe, and enjoy the opportunity to play a
supportive role in this development.
In my free time I like to spend time with my husband, our two grown children,
friends, and our very large extended family. Other things that I enjoy doing
are traveling, reading, gardening, listening to music, and sailing.
