It's been a pleasure getting to know your children and finding out how supportive everyone can be. What a wonderful class we have!
Just want to let you know that we are once again registered on IXL math and Type to Learn. User name for IXL is first and last name followed by 609 - all small letters and no spaces. Each child has selected their own password. The password for Type to Learn is sps. For now, students should be encouraged to practice and explore these programs at home. From time to time they will be assigned as homework.
Thank you for listening to your children read as part of the "Fluency Bag" endeavor. Mrs. Gadbois started this in our class last year, and we both feel it has a great deal of value in helping to increase a child's fluency. We hope to make this a weekly homework assignment, and the signed paper will be due on Fridays. It's great to have an activity that easily improves a person's reading. Please remember that a half hour of daily independent reading should be encouraged.
Also, one of the best gifts you can give your child is to help them to learn their basic multiplication facts. The sooner the better, as this is a skill that will last and be used a lifetime.
