The 6th Grade Concert & Jazz Bands will perform at the Massachusetts State
House on Thursday, March 8th. Parents are heartily welcomed to attend the
concert. Specific information will be distributed in mid-February.
The 5th & 6th Grade Bands will be playing for the Pawtucket Red Sox game on
SUNDAY, JUNE 10th.
4th, 5th & 6th grade band members should be sure to check their lesson
calendar every week for future lesson times. Please speak with Mrs. Monty if
there is a problem.

Students who participate in our before-school band rehearsals begin their day
alert and energetic. Numerous studies have illuminated immense benefits to
many facets of learning in children who participate in school musical
performance groups.
Attendance at all lessons, Band rehearsals (particularly on performance days,)
and Band concerts is expected. Make sure that your child arrives for rehearsal
by 7:23am. Parents of students who are absent from a rehearsal but are in
attendance at school must notify Mrs. Monty through email or a written note
explaining the absence.
You can keep up to date on band activities and receive reminders of band and
instrumental events by email. Please make sure that you are allowing mail from
amonty@boxfordschools.org to be delivered to your email address. Your address
will not be shared with any other group.
