FOLLOW DIRECTIONS
RAISE YOUR HAND
KEEP YOUR HANDS AND FEET TO YOURSELF
BE KIND TO ONE ANOTHER
If a student does not follow the rules of the classroom, the student will be
required to write up a behavior journal. The student's name and date of the
occurrence is at the top of the page. The student then needs to describe
the action that was done and explain why it should not occur in the
classroom or on the playground.
Our textbooks are very expensive and each student is responsible for the
condition of the book. Therefore, all books need to be covered at all
times. Students need to place the books neatly and quietly on their desks
or under their desks. They are not allowed to slam books. This not only
ruins the book over time, but distracts other students. If a student
chooses to do this, the student will lose 2 minutes of recess.
STOP WALK NO TALK
Third and fourth grade students have morning and afternoon recess. Once the
bell rings in the schoolyard recess is over. Students are expected to stop
playing, stop talking and line up. When entering and leaving the building
during recess, students may not speak to one another and need to walk one
behind the other on the right side of the stairwell.
Many students in the 3rd/4th grade pod have allergies to different foods.
Therefore, the students may not eat their snacks until they are outside the
building.
If a student is talking or eating in the hallway, the child will receive a
warning. The second time a student is talking or eating in the hallway, an
update slip will be forwarded home. The third offense constitutes help in
the classroom or pod area.
Students are also expected to follow the same rules when traveling to
different classrooms for instruction. The same consequences apply.
