BEST BUDDIES MASSACHUSETTS: Founded in 1989 by Anthony Kennedy
Shriver, is the world's largest non-profit organization that
provides enhanced opportunities for people with intellectual
disabilities. On May 30, 2009 one of our parents, Patty Martin,
participated in a 100-mile bike ride from Boston to
Hyannis as part of Team William to support her friend who, on her
own, is raising a son William who is autistic, and his two
sisters. She asked for financial contributions to help reach
a personal goal to help BEST BUDDIES to achieve their vision-a
world where people with intellectual disabilities are so
successfully integrated into our schools, our workplaces, and our
general communities that their current efforts and services will
be unnecessary. Donate online by visiting their website shown
here and search for Patricia Martin in the Hyannis Port website
under sponsor a participant. If you are unable to donate online,
submit a donation to her address in the Guildbook. What a great
idea! Go Patty!
