Occasional homework assignments are made in class, usually on the day before
it is due. Students are responsible for writing down the assignment,
completing it at home, and passing in the completed homework on the day it
is due.

Most homework is assigned on the day before it is due. Students are
responsible for writing down the assignment, completing it at home, and

1. Read "The Forum" on pages 61 - 66 in your textbook.
2. In your workbook, do the exercise on page 30 (section 4.7).
3. On a separate sheet of paper, answer all of the questions
in your workbook, page 31 (section 4.8).
November 30:
On a separate sheet of paper, translate the story "Grumio et leo"
on page 61 of your textbook. Your translation must be accurate
and in good, natural-sounding English.
December 1:
Stage 4 vocabulary quiz
December 2:
Stage 4 test

Grade 8

Read "tripodes argentei" in your text book, pages 41 - 42, and
write a summary of the story. There will be a quiz on the story.
November 19:
1. Read "Life in Roman Britain" in your text book, pages 44 - 48.
2. Write on a separate sheet of paper the answers to the following
questions in your workbook, page 21, section 14.10:
"Life in Roman Britain" on page 21, questions 1 - 4, 7 - 8.
"Farming" on page 21, questions 1, 3 - 4.
"The Slaves" on page 21, questions 1 - 6.
