
Please be sure you are familiar with the Classroom Standards. Your grade
will be affected by lack of adherence to the rules.
You must have a notebook and 2-pocket folder dedicated to Math class only.
All material must be saved in your folder until the end of a chapter.
You must come to class prepared, with all material including a sharpened
pencil, eraser, and red marker. Please keep an Expo marker in your pencil
case to use for board work.
Students need to learn to write down their assignments themselves in
their assignment notebooks.
Test on Tuesday December 22. Do problems written on board in class.
Due Tuesday December 15: p. 156 #s 13 - 22. Also graph each solution on a
number line.
Due Monday December 14: Completely re-do on new shhets of paper:
p. 137 31 - 49; p. 142 #1 - 8; p. 149 #1 - 6
be sure to define variables when asked, be sure to graph (with a straight
edge) when asked. Comnplete homework will be collected for a test grade.
Due Thursday Dec.3: Practice 4-3 1- 11, odd and 23; Practice 4-4 1-11 odd
and 26. TEST FRIDAY on changing % to and from decimals/fractions;
% proportions, and % chqange.
Due Wednesday December 2: Practice 4-3: # 2- 12 even and #19 and
Practice 4-4: # 2 -12 even and # 22. YOU MUST SET UP PROPORTIONS FOR EACH
PROBLEM. You may solve by hand or use a calculator. Circle your answer.
Answers for Practice 4 -4 should be rounded to the nearest percent.
Due Tuesday December 1: p. 207 #5 - 14 You must write down the proportion
then solve, using calculator.
Due Wednesday: More board problems.
Due Tuesday November 17: Problems written off the board during class. Also,
study how to solve algebraic proportions for part 2 of the proportions test.
Due Thursday November 12: HSPT packet, #71 - 82, Show all work!!!
Due Tuesday November 10: HSPT packet handed out in class. Do # 61 - 70. Show
all work!!!
Due Monday November 9: page 186 #34 - 37 and p. 188 95 - 100
Due Wednesday November 4: p. 185 #14 - 30 even, and #31, You may use your
calculators, but show each step. This chapter will help you prepare for the
HSPT and SSAT exams, so pay attention.
