RAH~ November calendar's due
SCIENCE~ All students were required to have an encyclopedia source for their
IIM. This is not new information or homework for them. These can be from
the library or printed from several sites: Wikipedia, Britannica for Kids,
Florapedia, etc. Students have had several weeks to collect their sources
and have not been prepared for class. They are bringing in print-outs and
books that have no information relative to their flower. They should be
getting their sources online by themselves, or with assistance, and
previewing them at home. If they come to class with sources that have no
information, they are not prepared to work on their IIM
project.Unfortunately, I am going to have to start assigning work to be
done at home.
We have "adopted" a three year old little girl named Francesca for Christmas.
She needs clothes and would like a learning game for Christmas. I know we
can help make her Christmas special by earning the money and donating it so
Mrs. G. can go buy her gifts. Thank you boys and girls for helping those who
are less fortunate. In discussing it with the class, one of the children
said Francesca's life was "not a cake walk". Perfectly said.
