IMPORTANT HOMEWORK UPDATES
Grammar (noun) quiz had to be moved to Tuesday, November 17 due to a
presentation on Wednesday that will conflict with our scheduled Language Arts
time. The students were notified Friday and had the opportunity to check out
one of the grammar books to complete optional practice exercises at home.
Book Report will be completed in class throughout the week (Monday-Thursday).
Students will complete a worksheet each day that will focus on application of
a skill/strategy in relation to The Last Holiday Concert. If students don't
complete the assigned worksheet for that day, they will be asked to bring it
home and complete it that night. All completed worksheets will be stapled and
submitted on Friday for a grade.
The worksheets will focus on:
Summary (beginning, middle, end) using sequence words (next, finally, then, etc.)
Event (focusing on a particular event in a chapter and giving details about
who, what, when, where, how)
Character description of your choice
Identifying facts and opinions
