Grade 8- Grade 8 students are studying the 12 Elements of Fiction.
Students must give examples of the 12 literary terms,using the book
that they have chosen to read this term.
Grade 7- Grade 7 students are working on bibliography and notefact formats
for IIM.
Grade 6- Grade 6 students are working on bibliography and notefact formats
for IIM.
Grade 5- Grade 5 students are working on the 4 characteristics of what makes
good mystery.Students must rate the mystery they are reading for
literature class, using the four characteristics of a good mystery.
Grade 4- Grade 4 students are reviewing fiction and non fiction call numbers.
We are also learning about the Online Public Access Catalog,and how
we use it to search for books in the library. Students are also
looking at different types of Reference Books.
Grade 3- Grade 3 students are working on the 4 characteristics of what makes
a good mystery. Students must create a new book jacket for the
mystery they are reading for their literature class.
Grade 2- Grade 2 students are learning how to use the table of contents.
We are also learning the difference between fiction and non-fiction
call numbers.
Grade 1- Grade 1 students are learning how to recognize the difference
between fiction and non-fiction books by looking at the spine label.
Students are also learning how to choose and check out books.
