Please restock art boxes with such items as glue sticks, pencils, markers,
or
anything else that may have been lost or run out. Thank you.
I am looking for more margarine tubs for water containers. If you would
please send them in with your child or leave them outside the art room I
would be appreciative. Thank you.
All Students:
The following expectations are for all students in Art Class.
Students will be respectful of the teacher and their fellow students.
Students will be responsible for taking care of shared items in the art room.
Students are responsible for cleaning their tables and areas around their
tables at the end of each class.
Students are expected to come to class prepared with art supplies and
sketchbooks if applicable.
Students are expected to be quiet when the teacher or other students are
talking.
Students are expected to follow all the safety rules that are discussed in
the beginning of the school year.
Students are expected to return any update slips the day after they are
issued and signed by a parent or guardian. Any slips that are not returned
are subject to a first missed day warning and then a detention.
Student grades are determined for grades 1-4 as follows: 50% project work
and 50% classwork.
Middle school student grades are determined as follows: 50% project work,
40% classroom work and 10% sketchbook work.
Middle school students are responsible for working independently on their
sketchbooks and making sure that they are turned in at the end of each
trimester on a date determined by the teacher. I will give them ample
notice
prior to this date.
If a middle school student misses art class it is his/he responsibility to
set up a time with me, iether before, after of during free school time to
make up work when it appears as if the project will not be completed on the
specified due date.
All students, with the exception of kindergarten, should bring a piece of
white poster board to their first day of art class. See schedule link to
