Social Studies grade 8: No Homework!
Social Studies grade 7: Complete the work started in class in preparation
for your Leson 1 quiz which will be Tuesday, December 1st. p. 222 #2-6...For
#5, please add the "who" column to the chart. Put all the important terms
from the chapter (words in blue) on index cards with definitions. Provide
examples for the 3 types of powers as well. This homework is due Monday.
Language Arts Grade 8: Continue working on your writing pieces: A Lesson I
Learned the Hard Way...
You will pass in a rough draft (from class) and a final draft which must be
typed. Both are due Wednesday, December 2, 2009. You will ahve more class
time Monday and Tuesday to write.

Language Arts Grade 8: Gather your thoughts and brainstorm a bit about a
lesson you've learned the hard way. Think about which smiley face tricks you
can add to your story to make it more grabbing to your audience. We will be
writing tomorrow. Vocabulary due tomorrow: see long term vocabulary
assignment.
Social Studies Grade 7: Finish the worksheet started in class:Branches of

Academic Bowl Meeting tomorrow at 8. The meeting will only be until 8:25
because I have yard duty in the morning.

Social Studies Grade 8: Finish reading lesson 18-3 and complete the guided
reading and reteaching 18-3 packet pages: due Wednesday. Chapter 18 test
Friday.
Social Studies Grade 7: Civics Chapter: p. 217-218 Read: The Goals of the
Constitution and answer the part I questions on the worksheet that go along
with the reading. You will have a quiz Thursday or Friday and you will have
to write the 6 goals of the Constitution (an easy one if you study).
Language Arts Grade 8: Vocabulary Lesson 6 Quiz Thursday.
Leadership Meeting Wednesday at 11:40 in Room 818. Bring your names of
participants for the Turkey Bowl.
Academic Bowl: Practice Match Thursday at West Middle. I need drivers!
Please ask your parents if they are able to drive to or from the match! All
Academic Bowl Team members may attend this match. You must bring your lunch
as well as a morning snack/drink.
