1/26 IMPORTANT, IMPORTANT - There was an error on the date when the posters for Catholic Schools Week are due. I had put February 1st on my letter to you when in fact it should have been January 27 which is tomorrow. If you would like your child's poster to be displayed outside the classroom for this weekends open house (Sunday) - please send them in tomorrow. The posters we have received so far are beautiful - thanks for the time and effort. I am so sorry for the mix up but I am in charge of Catholic Schools Week for the entire school and I have so many dates to remember and instructions to type out that I think I'm seeing double right now.
1/25 SOCIAL STUDIES PAPER ON CONTINENTS/OCEANS - the social studies paper the children did on continents/oceans went home in their folders by mistake. Please either send it back to school to be put in their social studies folder or keep it at home for them to use to study when the unit is done. We will be doing a similar paper on continents/oceans that they will label so if you have already thrown it away they will still have something to study. Sorry for the confusion

1/4/12
Today in your child's folder were the two social studies papers they need to study for tomorrow's Social Studies test . We reviewed all the material today in class that will be on the test. Have a good night!

8/30 Our first day of school was hectic but fun. We met some new friends, organized our supplies (which took most of the day) went to art and learned about classroom rules. Tomorrow we will be attending our first school Mass together at 9:00 a.m. - you are welcomed to join us. Some children are bringing back their tennis balls because they were not cut so please return them as soon as possible. If your child is missing any supplies they should bring them in as soon as possible. Because we had art today you will not need to rush out to get the art box supplies until the first full week of September. Our next art class will be September 13. Don't forget that gym is on Thursday and all children should wear their gym uniforms. I hope your child had a fun-filled first day of school. Thanks for your cooperation with this request.

BIRTHDAY INVITATION POLICY
AS LONG AS ALL CHILDREN ARE INVITED TO A BIRTHDAY PARTY I WILL PASS OUT INVITATIONS IN CLASS. THERE ARE TWENTY-EIGHT CHILDREN IN THE CLASS. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS WRITE THE INVITATION AND PLACE IT IN A BLANK ENVELOPE WHICH I WILL PLACE IN THEIR FOLDERS. IF NOT ALL TWENTY-EIGHT CHILDREN ARE INVITED TO THE PARTY I WILL NOT PASS OUT INVITATIONS AS THIS MUST BE DONE OUTSIDE ON THE PLAYGROUND ON YOUR OWN TIME. I hope this helps with all our birthday celebrations. I know that the children are always excited to invite friends to a birthday party but I do not want any child to feel left out. Thanks, Mrs. Lemieux
