Hello to all my new first graders and their families. I am very happy to be
here at St. Francis and would like to let you know a little bit about myself
as we will be spending alot of time together this year. This is my third
year teaching first grade at St. Francis. I have previously
taught at St. Anthony School in New Bedford for 6 years. While at St.
Anthony's I taught first grade for one year, kindergarten for 4 years and
then taught a multi-age classroom of first and second graders. Prior to St.
Anthony's School, I was the owner of Learn & Grow Preschool which was a
daycare/preschool for infant, toddlers and preschool children where I also
taught in the preschool classroom. I have been in Early Childhood education
for 22 years and love working within this age group. I have a Bachelors
Degree in Sociology from U-Mass Dartmouth and currently hold a certification
in Early Childhood education.

My husband Gerry and I resided in the Sassaquin area of New Bedford for
32 years and have recently moved to Dartmouth. We belong to Our Lady of
Fatima Church. We have one grown son who recently relocated back to New
Bedford with his family and a niece, to whom we are legal guardians, who
lives at Crystal Springs School for disabled children in Assonet.
I am committed to Catholic School education and have always had a special
attachment to St. Francis as our son attended school here. It was and still
remains a wonderful, nurturing place for children and I am very proud to
part of this family.
