11/16/09 While discussing the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade, the children were asked if they knew who was the man that appears on a float at the end of the parade that has a white beard and a red suit? A child replied outloud, "Joe Biden!"

11/19/09 When we use the bathrooms, we often tell the children not to use more than 1 paper towel because the paper comes from the trees and we do not want to have to cut down more trees to get more paper. Trees are beautiful! One day we were in the bathroom and a child was taking too many paper towels. Another child got very upset at this and said, "Mrs. Reardon, Mrs. Reardon, Mary just used up a whole tree!!!

12/02/09 A child lost his shoe in the hall on the way to the bathroom while in line. Mrs. Gomes asked him how his shoe fell off. He said, "My tire was flat!" He meant to say I got a flat tire. That is what we say when someone steps on the back of our shoe and it falls off.
