It is an honor to be a part of your children’s first years in Education. I
love this age group because they are so inquisitive and want to learn. I have
worked in early childhood for fifteen years. I have previous experience
working with children in the roles of a preschool teacher and a
paraprofessional. I have been fortunate to work with children with various
needs in special education and work alongside professionals that are
dedicated to their students and families.
God showed me that He wanted me to teach when I became my daughter’s
catechism teacher in her first grade class. I have always loved working with
children as a teenager and young adult. Finally, in teaching catechism I was
able to see the gift that God gave me. I have continued my education in Early
Childhood and am working toward a degree in Human Development.
In addition, I am very happy to introduce you to Mrs. Jenny Lemieux,
our assistant teacher. She is a mother of three boys, two are students at
Saint Francis Xavier, and the other is a student at New Bedford High School.
I asked Jenny what she likes best about SFX and she said the school is like
family. She is originally from Florida and trying to get use to the winters.
She does like the change in the four seasons here.
She has been working with me to get our room in top shape for the
upcoming year. She too is very grateful to be a part of your children’s
education and looks forward to discovering their interests throughout the
year. Jenny and I look forward to working with you and your families this
year.
