First graders are given homework two nights each week. Most often,
homework goes home on Mondays and Wednesdays. The children are given two
nights to complete it and return it to school. Thank you for checking your
child's work before sending it back to school!
We also encourage your child to read for 20 minutes each night. Your
child can read to you, you can read to your child, or you can take turns!
At the beginning of each new unit in Fundations, we will be sending home a
packet explaining what the children will be learning in that unit. This packet
also contains optional homework pages to reinforce what will be taught in
class. If your child completes the work, be sure to send in the purple
'homework ticket' for that unit so their hard work can be acknowledged!
