What should I do about my child's birthday?

Please send in only non-food items for birthdays. Suggestions for birthdays
include sending in festive pencils, donating a book to the library or
donating a playground toy to the class. We do ask that invitiations to
birthday parties are not put in children's mailboxes unless the whole class
is invited.

What if my child has a summer birthday?

I like to celebrate those birthdays as close to the summer as possible. In
May I will ask your child to pick a day in May or June that he/she would
like to celebrate his/her birthday. When this date has been chosen a note
will be sent home.

What do I do if I forget to send in a bus note?

Due to safety concerns and as stated in the parent handbook, if a child does
not have a note in the morning, he/she will need to take their regular bus
home. This rule is only waived in emergency situations.

What do I do if I know my child will be absent?

PLEASE notify the office. Leave a message or write a note that is to be
sent to the main office before your child's scheduled absence. Teachers are
not required to prepare work that will be missed ahead of time, but I will
work to ensure that your child makes up important work when he/she returns.
